Look What Followed Me Home

Made a quick trip on the weekend to collect a new toy that I picked up last week. Was a long 3250km drive over three days on the weekend, but I think it was worth it. Here it is.

However, I really bought it for me to use on those trips where I am off on my own or with friends who have their own tents/campers. We are keeping our 19', so I guess we are now officially a 2 Escape family.

Given that they are no longer being made and that there are only about 100 (plus or minus a few) 15's in existence, the Escape 15 group seems to be a very exclusive club!

In looking more closely at the pictures, I have come to the conclusion you bought it simply because the trailer graphics matched your tow. My kind of thinking.

Two Escapes! Dave you are quite the overachiever.

It'll also be perfect when the son's make their girlfriends into wives and produce little ones. They can use the 19, and you and DW can tag along in the 15.

Karen, you are not the only one to notice the color coordination. The first person to suggest this was the seller when we met during pickup.

The graphics also match quite well with those on our 19' so I imagine the 19' and 15' will look quite good together also.

We will cross that bridge when we get to it. However, if it does come to pass, that could be the perfect time to pick-up a 5.0TA as a third Escape.

You say that you want a second for youself, but admit it, what you really want to try is hitching the 15' to your 19'.

Wow, Iowa Dave had an Escape 40, and now another Dave with an Escape 34.

It looks like that 15 is giving you some rear end squat, do you use a w/d with your 19?

It is not surprising if the pictures show the trailer or the tow not quite level. We were in a rush to get back on the road at time of pickup, so I just ensured that the hitch, electrical connections, and safety chains were connected properly, and made no effort at all to setup the Andersen no-sway hitch that came with the trailer. I have a few maintenance items to do on the hitch, hitch coupler, and wiring this week and will put greater effort into setting things up properly.
