Concur with Bob ... I much prefer sleeping on sheets and being able to remove and wash them (especially if camping for a longer period of time) is a big plus (having a sleeping bag cleaned is expensive). I will say, looking at both the Travasak and RVSuperbag, the Superbag seems a little more luxurious ... more options (decorator covers), longer sheets, etc.; however, both certainly "fill the bill" when it comes to making up the bed.

We use fitted sheets and our home duvet. Simple.

Hi: All... Another plus for the 5.0& 5.0TA. The sheets and blankets or in our case Grama G's Quilt, stays tucked in and closed at the feet like a Travasak or RVSuperbag.
This feature is standard equipment!!! Alf

My sleeping bags go in the washer and dryer at home, no problem.
I've also washed down jackets and vests. Not a problem.

We currently put on a fitted sheet over the cushions, and then just use our feather duvet with a removable cover on it over the top of us. I like being able to poke my knee out, especially on the small bed of the 17b. But then it's a PITA to take off/put on the fitted sheet if we want to use the table during the day. It looks like the Travasak/Superbag would make it a lot easier, and from the video it seems like the upper and lower bag can be separated and still used. Hmmmm, another "must have"? I spend more $ on our Escape than I do for our house lol

I know what you mean lorrie. I wasn't going to bother with the Travasack/Superbag until I hit my head/elbow/whatever for the umpteenth time while making the bed. Not to mention we have the hypervent under the mattress so I end up poking myself when trying to put on the fitted sheet.

This is what we do, plus add a wool blanket when temps get near, or below, freezing. We have a down duvet dedicated to the trailer.

Not understanding the fuss about making the bed. We just give the sheet and duvet a quick flip into place, easy peasy. We are not going for the hospital corner thing at all. I would never give the luxury and ease of use of this system for a sleeping bag or sac thing myself. But heck, we all have our own styles, that work best for us.

I'm with Donna! Camping is great ... but sleeping in comfort is even better. (And I'm convinced there's a pea under my mattress somewhere ...)

Ok true confessions. After Sumas, we headed for Burlington and a target parking lot to get supplies and move all the 'stuff' from the Highlander to the trailer. We spent about an hour in the parking lot trying to arrange things before heading to Deception Pass, but it was pretty frantic. For the first week we had the trailer I was convinced there was a lump under the mattress or that it was firmer in the middle. Last weekend we lifted it to move it away from the wall a bit. Found three rolls of TP in the middle squashed pretty flat! Removed them and the lump is gone!

We are using a travasack. We like it, but no more than the arrangement we used to use in our Vanagon -- a pair of sheets sewn together at the bottom with a duvet on top. It was hard to get things arranged in the Vanagon bed because of the sloping roof on top.

I agree with Donna I like my Egyptian 600 sheets and my down comforter. I also get hot and then cold all night and like to be able to throw the covers on and off easily worked great for my first trip in the lark with plenty of room for Guinness the dog.

Actually, that's one of the four major reasons I sold my Scamp 19 and have a 5.0TA ordered.....

Along that line, for the first 5 1/2 years we slept on the stock foam mattress, and found it not too bad. Recently I was finding pressure points on my hips indicating it starting to lose its loft, thus causing minor discomfort.

Soooo..... off to search for a mattress, and we ended up buying a 6" firm foam mattress, PLUS a 2 1/2" latex foam topper.

OMG..... we are in heaven. I never knew there could be so much comfort available for sleeping. It is like floating, rather than laying down. Not cheap at just over $1k, but in hind sight very worth it. In fact, even though we have a good coil spring at home, we are considering going with the same combo there.

Jim, did you just spend a thousand dollars on a mattress for your trailer?

Money well spent IMHO. You spend almost a third of your life sleeping.
