May as well post our Build sheet too

We also finalized our build sheet this week for our upcoming 17B, so here it is:

2 Burner Stainless Steel Stove
Stainless Steel Sink and Chrome Faucet
Delete Range Hood
4.3 cuft Fridge
Exterior 12V Outlet
1 additional Interior Switch
1 additonal 12v/USB Interior Outlet
2 additional 120V Outlets
Surge Protector
Removable Power Cord
Additional Opening Window over sink
Additional Opening Window in bathroom
2 LED Captains reading lamps
Additional Set LED Brake lights (Horizontal)
Air Conditioner
Exterior Access Hatch
Winterizing T-Valve
Microwave
Reinforce 3 walls
Starter Kit
Storage Box
U Shaped Dinette, with 12'' Filler board/cushion

I know that most folks on here consider the Dual pane windows and extra insulation to be "must have", but I just could not justify the cost versus need for us.

Now here's hoping that our current August build date moves up substantially as production capacity improves.

Don't let anyone talk you out of your decision--it's your trailer and, besides, no option is a must-have, hence the word "option." Congratulations on getting finished with the tough part, except for paying, of course. Now the fun begins!

Looks solid, nice to have it done. Are you putting the captains lights at the u-dinette/bed area or up at the front dinette?

We are doing one captains light at each end. My wife stays up way later than me reading, so thought that would work out for the best.

How do you plan to use a U-dinette in a 17B?
We have our rear dinette set up as a bed. Have tried to switch from table to bed and back, but you need to find some place to put the bedding and topper. We've also now got storage containers under the "table" portion of the bed and they would have to go somewhere.

Glenn, our current plan is to use the u-dinette as bed, and dinette and lounging area. Depending on what we need at any particular time. We are still trying to figure out where we will store all of the parts and pieces for each particular use. I know a lot of folks say that switching back and forth is a pain, and we may agree once we start doing it. So we shall see on that.

We didn't discover it was a pain until about 3 years in a Scamp 13 with two toddlers.

Mine is "winterized". I've got so much junk in the aisle ( BBQ, a heater etc. ) that I can't move around, and all the cushions and bedding are tumbled about on the "bed". Have to shoot you a picture.

Yay, another build sheet to look over.

Hey, it's your trailer and you know how you'll be using it, so whatever works for you will work the best.

We were told last week to expect our trailer (originally due Dec 28th) 3 months earlier. I'm sure a lot of us have our fingers crossed mentally in that respect. And someone might say "nope, don't need it now, put someone ahead of me in the queue" and there ya go! You get your trailer even earlier.

Congrats on getting it done. Whew! Now you can start the trip planning.

It's about a 3 minute change from bed to table for us.(I timed it!!) We have been doing this for 2 years now and only because we have the Travasak and it rolls up nicely and goes on passenger side storage under the table. The pillows stay at the other end. The fact that the 17 has the table attaching to the wall makes it easy to do this--we only have to deal with a pole on the front table..

We now keep the front dinette into a couch--the pole fits under the storage benches there...and I have another modified sleeping bag made into a smaller travasak for when we both sleep on opposite ends... Also fits under the benches. Again I can't believe the storage in these trailers (and I bring a lot of stuff)

It seems to really open the trailer up--we have the option of tables at both ends with the windows and we sit at whatever end the view is the best.

For years we kept the bed made up fulltime (and in our Boler) with a foam topper and just doing this two years ago has made me not want a larger trailer.. (it wouldn't fit in our yard anyway!!)

No place to store stuff, so all I can do is open cupboards, prop up cushions, toss sleeping bags.
Got the heater running at the moment and the Maxxfan slightly open to get rid of any humidity.

LOL @ Glenn..
Yeah, mine looks a little different too for the winter.
But on a normal camping time--big pillows go at other end--travasak gets rolled up and stuffed under seat and table goes up (and the room darkening blinds get taken down and stuffed away too)

I am a PITA organizer (ask anyone I work with!!!)

Speaking of Travasak, even though Camping World no longer carries Travasak, seems Lance has resurrected it under the Lance "exclusive" Bed-Maid System ()

When we heard about the Travasak, we were very interested in it, but disappointed to find out they no longer made it. Watched the video of the Bed-Maid system and it looks interesting. But when I google where to find it, I'm getting nothing. Even if I go to the Lance web site, don't see an option for ordering one. Am I missing something?
