I would have jumped on it but can't take delivery until Spring or Summer of 2017.

Omg!
OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!!
Okay, just got off the phone with Mary and she's gonna call me back as they're rebooting their computers.
BUT I GOT IT!!!!!!
Yes, I'm shouting!
I'm so excited I can barely type this!!!
OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!
And I checked this forum this AM and their site last night, but didn't check their production schedule this AM as I had to haul my cat to the vet. Decided to check the forum again after getting back from the vet and errands. So THANKS to the initial poster about the open slot.
OMG, OMG, OMG!!!

Thanks Stephen. And your heart rate will jump and you'll barely be able to sit still. And your hands will shake thinking of this HUGE financial commitment you just made!
OMG, I can still barely believe it. I called and asked if it was still available. When Mary said "yes" I shrieked and said "I'll take it". She started laughing. I'll have to ask when they updated the site as, who knows, I might have missed it last night.
I'm so glad this didn't happen last week when we were without our internet for 3 days. I was resigned to waiting even longer for the trailer.
Thanks again Stephen for posting about it.

Okay, got the deposit taken care of!!!
She said there were two slots that opened up and they're both gone now, as I got the last of the two. They updated the site yesterday at appx 3PM so I must have looked before that.
(Can ya tell I'm happy!?!?!?)

Congratulations and what a Christmas present. Now don't go dallying around with your build sheet as this next year is going to fly by so fast that it will be due before you know it. Speaking from experience. Loren

Yah, sort of got that impression. Congratulations, nice to know what you want and be able to act quickly if an opportunity pops up.
Wouldn't worry too much about the financial commitment. It's not like it's going to drop in value anytime soon.
A number of buyers, including us, have had the opportunity to move up their delivery date because of cancellations etc. so it wouldn't hurt to think about what your response would be if that opportunity arises.

Thanks guys!
I've already got the build sheet pretty much figured out on an Excel file. Now to get the paperwork from them so I can start to make that official.
I've already purchased the fabric for the u-shaped dinette and have the countertop and flooring picked out. After that, everything else will be easy to figure out.

Thanks Ron. Yeah, I know the value won't drop, but between the trailer and the truck we need to get (Tundra TRD crew max), it's more than we've spent on anything.
And yes, I'm well aware the time might move up and that would be wonderful! But I won't hold my breath, just in case. Huge advantage to being so close to the factory; if the date changes, no biggie (weather dependent, of course; we do get snow from time to time).
Thanks for the congrats from everyone.
Oh, when do I turn in the referral card that I've been hanging on to since we first viewed an Escape many months ago?

Well, Stephen, I've known for many months what I've wanted. For reasons I won't get into, we had to hold off when they still had slots open and then they closed their books.
Got the fabric several months ago. It's in the attic, along with some other stuff I've been slowly purchasing for the trailer, like kitchen towels, coat rack that fits over the door, etc. Cat themed, of course! (well, not the fabric for the dinette as I couldn't find any and not for the lack of trying.)

I made my first couple purchases already - a water pressure regulator and a set of leveling blocks and no prospect of using them for a long time. Wait, I take that back. I did use the leveling blocks to jack up the rear end of my car to change the rear differential fluid so money well spent, I guess.

Advantage to purchasing stuff ahead of time is that you can look out for any sales. and to make sure you know how to use 'em, like your leveling blocks. Too funny.

Just let Tammy or others at Escape know who referred you to the Escape. The "check goes out" when the trailer is paid for. A nice little treat when you open mail from Escape and there is a check in it!
