Another thing not on the build list, but I'm getting it per Crystal's suggestion: a cat flap in the U-shaped dinette. The cats will be able to hide in there, and no unsightly hole.

Glenn,
Just wondering if after imbibing enough malted barley beverage to obtain an adequate supply of cans for the task at hand if you can still find the door!

Glen's beer can trick reminds me of something I did. I have camped in a few places where thefts from coolers has occurred. If I think there could be a problem I stack a bunch of emty cans on the cooler and run some dental floss through the pull tabs. Then when you move one can (in the dark) the rest all fall down. Thieves don't like noise. I have never needed it but if I do my next step would then be to yell "untie the Doberman and pass me the 12 gauge!"

i will be installing 3 of the smart lights on the new build. have used them in past and they work great. They are motion sensitive and when not on but powered they flash on and off a green light, if I was the thief I would think twice when I see the flashing light. They can be seen from quite a distance in the flashing mode.

Some of the things not on the options list are more of a different way to have things done. Like turning a two-burner stove 90 degrees to get more counterspace, not mounting the table, but adding stooge tables, having plugs moved to different locations, etc.

We have a light on the back of the trailer, lower down, by the band- to be able to see our bike rack if it's dark, and when camped to lock our bikes to the rack, so we don't need to try and hold a flashlight and do it - works great.

A headlamp is a wonderful tool around the campsite. Cheaper than a hardwired light and way more flexible.

Raised dinette floor & pedestal table

After we used our trailer a bit, we asked ETI to raise the floor under the dining area 3.5 ". While they were doing that they installed a 3 stage pedestal table. I am 5'8" and Lindy is 5' . The raised floor in the dining area has made it a world of difference for us. Much more comfortable to sit at the table.
