order input

Hi,
I am new and seeking input from members. I recently put a deposit on a 17B and am looking at the options I can get. I have a year to plan so....a little about me.
I am a full-timer, travel with a large dog and old cat. I plan to boondocks using the solar power system I have on my truck, a 1998 Check S10, 4.3L, 6 ful automatic. I am planning on getting AC, extra insulation, thermal windows, ...... So tell me what other options do you use nearly everyday and value having, or what do you wish you had gotten? Thanks for the information.

Boondocking, I'd get the exterior shower. Great for washing your hair, or your dog, or your cat.

Options we use all the time, or at least a lot... Solar on the roof, dual 6v batteries, digital thermostat, exterior propane, exterior 12vdc for the fan and charging stuff with the little inverter, opening bathroom and kitchen window, a couple extra 12vdc outlets inside, stove cover, foot flush, wall switch at the door for the overhead light, exterior hatch, detachable power cord, and the surge protector. Stabilizer foot pads if they still sell such as extras.

What will happen when your truck needs to be replaced? Still would opt for the solar panel on the roof of the trailer and dual batteries. Will save you money down the road.

If you are talking serious boondocking, I'd certainly include the high lift axle.
I'm not ordering the solar install. I want to be able to aim it and also move it out from under trees.
