Whatever the "true cost" may be, it's in our collective best interests to keep the market pricing stable. As a liberal Yankee doing business with a semi-Socialist nation, I want as little price fluctuation as possible when (God forbid!) we sell our (then) used Escape 19. Families everywhere are looking for fair and equitable pricing in the marketplace. None of us have the luxury of paying a premium only because we weren't as sophisticated a shopper as the person before or after us. Let Tammy and Reace set a price and if the buyers don't show up on their doorstep, they'll sharpen their pencils. Until then, I'm a confident consumer.

Now Zardoz let's not get political (semi-Socialist nation?). After buying so much from the Yankees over many years, it's nice to see we Canadians are selling a quality built product to Americans! (We also sell quality Toyotas and Hondas to you). And I'm not biased, we plan to go to the Parkliner plant on Monday while we're holidaying in NC, (but we'll probably buy an Escape).

Please know that I meant no offense in my characterization of your wonderful and beautiful country by characterizing it as a "semi-Socialist" nation. While we may differ on the accuracy of that description, I want you to know that I consider it a compliment! Regardless, my point was that Escape Industries are pure capitalists. They create products, set what they believe to be fair prices, and then adjust their prices to reflect fluctuations in raw material (components) costs. All I am saying is that as a consumer, I prefer this business model over the typical American sales approach of, "get the most you can out of the buyer." IMHO Escape Industries is a prime example of a thriving cottage industry operating in a highly regulated environments. Hats off to them!
