Rear dinette in17B

We plan on leaving the rear dinette as a bed on an almost permanent basis and would like to have the area underneath for maximum storage. We are wondering if the twin pillars of the rear dinette are anchored at the bases by flanges and have similar hardware on top? We would ask that the flanges be left uninstalled and kept for possible future use if so. Incidentally we found out the wall tabs, bale and swing away leg system is no longer available.

Rear dinette is as you describe. I found these accordion containers at Lordco. I get four of them under the bed, without a problem and with all hardware in place ( except the poles ).

My secind generation 17B doesn't have the poles on back table. It has the single leg that folds down. I am able to store 4 bins underneath the bed for storage. I use a back scratcher to grab the back bins and bring them forward. It comes in handy at other times. I put a tension rod and curtain across the eara to make it look pretty.

Using two soft duffle bags here to not scratch the wood. The inverter has a fan so, as you know, I try not to block the front of that.

Our 17 classic has a u shaped dinette. We ask not to have the table hardware mounted. I cut slats to use in place of the table to make up the bed. The slats and sleeping bag stores in the bench seat. When we picked up the trailer ETI had the table and all hardware stored in the trailer.

We bought a long, wide container on wheels (easy to find at many DIY and similar stores - we got this from Canadian Tire) that would be easy to pull in and out from under the table and constructed a small platform that fits over the pedestal support for it to slide on. After the first outing, I added a couple of small lengths of wood to twist and revolve 90 degrees so as to stop it sliding about when on the road. Its not super elegant (you would need Jim Bennett to build something like that), but its effective. We use it to store shoes and so forth.

You guys got that Jim Bennette thing right, this looks more my speed also. Thanks to folks who responded and showed me their storage solutions. I thing we will ask that hardware be left uninstalled and use Chris and Patricia's idea or bins. Thanks for the warning about the converter "gocamp"
