Reinforcing the walls

Anyone have a rough idea of what it costs to reinforce the walls. Does it cost the same regardless of which wall you get done?

What are they reinforced with? I know you get it done for when you want to screw things into those walls. And possibly for added structural strength.

Do they add quite a bit of weight to the trailer?

Trying to get rough ideas on the price of various options I'm thinking of adding. Yeah, I know I can find out when we visit the factory, but would like a better idea before we head up there. That way there's less risk of keeling over from sticker shock.

Thanks!

Laura, I just typed 'Reiforced Walls', into the Google site search, and got tons of hits. This has been talked about lots previously. Here are a couple of links to previous discussions of the same.

Reinforced Walls

Reinforced walls for 19

We have had magazine racks and coat hooks hung on unreinforced walls for years, with no adverse affects.

Gawd, you'd think by now I would have figured that out. I just know when I usually type in a search subject, I get twelve million hits and none of them seem to tell me what I want, so I've kind of given up on that (at times.

thanks

Laura, this was a big issue for me when working on my build sheet. I had ZERO ideas where I would want to mount a television or magazine rack or anything else in the future. But knew, there are somethings that need to be done during the build (unless you are really, really talented... and I'm not). So, I had four walls reinforced. The kitchen wall passenger side, rear bathroom wall, loft wall drivers side, loft wall passenger side. I think it cost me $100 and added maybe 100# total. I still haven't mounted a TV or done anything else... purposely. But still don't regret making a decision with purpose. YMMV

It is actually $100 per wall now. I remember that $50 also but $100 is on our build sheet. I would not think that is different on different models but no telling.

Reinforced in ETI terms means the pretty wall wood is laminated to an interior layer of plywood instead of being hollow. The plywood in my 21 does NOT extend all the way to the outer curved shell, however - more of a rectangular piece that comes within a few inches of the outside shell.
