The potty is in two pieces. The top has water storage and it is clipped to the bottom, which stores waste. when you prepare the potty you put some chemical in the bottom and a little water which controls odor and i think helps things break down. the toilet paper is thin and easily breaks down. If you're in a campground w bathrooms and you're only using it for pee, you could easily empty every day into a toilet. Depending on how full it is, you would dump in two or three separate flushes in the bathroom. If it's a pit toilet, no problem. Refill the top, rinse and dump the bottom.

Just like the built-in RV toilets, portable toilets have flush valve which closes completely, so the waste container is closed and there is no more source of smell than with a built-in. I think it's assumed that contents are not left for a very long time to "ripen" before dumping. We have one, and haven't had an odor issue, but we didn't use it for very long (before getting a trailer with a built-in toilet).

Used escapes are few and far between, and thankfully dont have the huge depreciation curve like stickies and pop ups. That lack of depreciation curve however makes purchasing a used one not having the specific build and options less palatable.

Anyone out there with a 17A and a measuring tape handy? I could use the measurements of the wardrobe.
1. Inside width and height at front (aisle side).
2. Height inside at the back from bottom of wardrobe until the top part isn't "square".
3. Width and height of actual opening at front behind door
4. Distance from bottom of wardrobe to bottom of opening (it looks like there's a couple inches drop inside).
5. from the picture it looks like there's a conduit in the back left corner...how much space does that occupy out from the corner in each direction.

If the container store has a sale on Friday I'll get the elfa drawers with rack at a discount, I hope, but I want to make sure it fits including fitting in the doorway. Thanks for your help!

I got the measurements I needed, so, channeling Emily Litella, "Nevermind".

Updating this item re potty cabinet: the one just inside the door in my double dinette is too narrow. My next option is the under wardrobe cabinet.
