I drove to the factory this morning since I only live 20 min away. Got there at 9:50 and am happy to say I got April 10/17 as completion date on a 19. We wanted Spring time, so it worked out well. Now to sell our 2011 Salem for this camping season.

I asked them if they would take a fax, so at exactly 8 am i faxed my order in. I called around 10 to confirm ( I must have dialed 20 times) and the nice lady told me:" I'll have to go downstairs and look". She found my fax and put me in for April 10 for a 19.
what an ordeal.

I'd say the 19 Escape model was the most popular order, based upon the calendar status.

On the schedule !

Last summer, my wife and I were on the Maine turnpike in the traveling lane when a cool looking small 5th wheel trailer passed us. My wife was driving our truck and I told her to catch up to that trailer so I could get a closer look and get a brand and model off it. We caught up to it and I saw "Escape 5.0TA" printed on it. I made a note of it so I could research it later. Of course the research led me to this forum after I went to the ETI site first. I couldn't believe that there was no dealer network for these trailers. I still haven't seen one yet, but I'm working on hooking up with other owners within driving distance to see their's. Today I got on the schedule for a 5.0TA. Yes, I guess I bought one sight unseen. Looking forward to meeting other escape owners.

Good for you Charlie for taking that leap of faith. Many of us have and while I can't speak for others... I'm thrilled with mine

If you read the "Our Escape Story" on ETI's website, you'll know why there's no dealer network and why they're as successful as they are....it's the drive for stellar Customer Service.

Congratulations!

So, who got a 2017 trailer and all that?????

Charlie, that is a very cool story. Sold on sight! If you ever manage to track down who the owner was, they're due a referral check!

Be careful that about ten people don't claim it was them you saw in Maine. Glad you made the leap, many have , sight unseen, very few have been disappointed.

I love mine too!

Still have to learn how to hook up, unhook and use the maneuvering position.

Congrats to all those who got their order in today! We placed our order last year for ours, site unseen, picked up last month and have been thrilled!

We do have a serial trailer switcher going from a 21 to a 19 Sometimes less is more.

While we love our 21, I'm sure we would have been more than ok with a reverse floorplan 19.

What a huge day for Escape. They must have taken orders for a couple of hundred trailers today. And probably will sell quite a few tomorrow. To think that they used to have winter sales prices.

Great for all of you lucky ones who have your spot!
Now it's the fun options time.

Slots now into April and May for all models.

They only had one mould. It was just a couple wee surface blemishes that Reace had them fix up. I bet most folks would have never noticed. Gotta like that strive for perfection.

We probably will be selling our Snoozy when we get a confirmed date . Another JIM (Florida)
Pssst, I prefer your choices too.

Congrats, Charlie. Like you and many others my 2009 19 was bought sight unseen, and hit every expectation I had for it and more.

For A minute I thought you might have seen mine but nope not a 5.0 . But I was on the Maine Turnpike in Aug last year with it twice once on the way up and once on the way back.

Don't have the time to find the old thread from Reace when he first produced the 21 but he considered a reverse plan with a slightly smaller dinette. I kinda wish that he would make that, entering at the dinette with the bath at the back. That being said I also like the layout of the 21 which shall be hatched for me in February .

Peace, Steve M

I think I'm the serial switcher and yes, Escape will switch the bed floorpan in the 19, but not in the 21. I went from a 19 to a 21 and now back to a 19 Escape.

There was a lot of pressure for a rear dinette, which ruled out the reverse layout. It is all about compromise in such a relatively small space, either the bed is out of the way at the back, or the dinette, not both. Both have their merits. For me the 5.0TA covered both those issues well, rear dinette and bed out of the way, but there is a compromise there too, in that you have to have a pickup to tow.

I guess these varying compromises, with buyers with different wants, is why we see four different models, each with their own merits and folks buying them.
