Which engine do you have in your truck?
I have the 3.5 liter. But I am considering trading it in for a 2.7 with the extended range fuel tank. Probably not quite as peppy but I haven't made a final decision yet.

I've driven both, and there is a bit of a difference - a few HP and a little bit of torque. But, I'm still amazed at how much power my 2.7L can produce, and I really don't regret the smaller powerplant. It also gets about 3 MPG better than the 3.5L when not towing.

The difference is actually only 1 mpg highway, and the same in the city. This is what it said on the window stickers for the same trucks, with the two engines too.

https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymo...0_Pickup.shtml

That said. I have read tons of reviews, and in one they actually found an unloaded 2.7 to be marginally quicker from 0 to 60 mph.

CR Finds 2.7L EcoBoost V6 Ford F-150 Is Quicker Than 3.5L EcoBoost V6

Carl, everything I have read on the 2.7 raved on how impressed they were with the spunk it had towing. The two reasons I did not get it are firstly that there were none in stock in Canada that suited me, short of the uber expensive ones, and secondly because I found out I could get the 6.5' box with the 3.5L. Not much stock on what I wanted with the 3.5 either, but given the huge savings, I upgraded from my needs, and just lost the tailgate step.

I ended up with a nav system, trim packages, upgraded stereo, and more expensive 20" tires and rims.

Took a shot of it just a bit ago, when I went up to sign some stuff. Parked pretty tight, so not a great photo. Just a phone shot too. Should get it tomorrow. Will take a few more when after I pick it up. It sure looks purdy.

The payload rating is 2,010 or 2,420, depending on the GVWR of either 7,000 or 7,600, and I kinda forget which one I have. I do think it is the lighter one, as I don't believe it has the payload package. I can confirm when I pick it up. It is modestly higher if you have the 5.5' box instead of the 6.5', like I do.
