TV/Cable Ready Option

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our 19 foot later in 2017. We selected the TV/ Cable ready option on our build sheet solely for resale value-we will never have a TV in the trailer while we own it. We are also going to have the same wall reinforced in case a second owner wants to install a TV bracket. Is this a good idea or a waste of money for us? Will a second owner be able to install TV and cable options later or does it have to be done during the build?

I would suggest that if you never plan on using a tv in your trailer, there is no reason to lay out cash for the cable ready option. If you are concerned with resale value, this is such a trivial option that it will have pretty much zero impact on resale $$$. Buy a bottle of your favorite liquid refreshment instead and enjoy your new trailer.

But then you might decide some day you want to watch TV in your trailer. Plans change and in my old age I have learned never to say never. The one exception being a nursing home. Loren

Technology moves on. Who knows if cable will be in use in ten years.

Yup, one reason why I don't order "built-in" electronics.

Cable and TV brackets can be added afterwards as you'll see when I start posting my latest mods.

tv in escape

We bought an Escape 21 in Oct and have the King Antenna option .We should have just opted for tv ready instead . The King antenna hasn't worked after the first week ( It seems the wing is defective and some splitters not sure yet ?).After doing some research I would opt for the tv ready and get the dish instead much more programs and you can shut it off from month to month .We like a little news in the AM with our coffee and sometimes the grandkids want some tv time especially if its raining out side
As far as getting the tv ready I would get it for very little $ up front VS. putting it in later . Enjoy your build sheet the Trailer will be here before you know it .
