I'm looking for that campground too. I understand it's located just below Big Rock Candy Mountain. They play Burl Ives music in the restroom.

You can say about Alberta what you want, but not many people can say they have a coffee outside in the winter with minus 10C in their t-shirt. We can in our sunny Alberta without freezing our a.. off!

I'll try to add more tomorrow.

Hi Tom, appreciate the post. I'd say you'd have some good input as I would think some of the things that work/don't work on a boat would apply to a trailer. Both are small, confined spaces we're trying to live in comfortably. Both can have moisture problems. Both can be expensive. Both require maintenance. Both can take us to beautiful places. I'm sure the list continues.
I wasn't thinking of a Sunbrella type cover. I was looking more into something that will protect the mattress, which will be a Select Comfort/Sleep by Number bed. Not cheap, so I don't want it to start to get moldy or some such from moisture. I have a padded cotton one on the mattress at home and I was wondering if the same type would work in the trailer. Or if I needed a waterproof type due to higher condensation than at home. And I want to be able to toss it into the washer/dryer when needed.
There's lots of folks with trailers in this neck of the woods (and similar weather conditions), so I was hoping some of them would chime in as to what's the best type of mattress pad to get. What they use, what hasn't worked, how many years they've been using it, that sort of response. So, maybe I should have titled the threads "mattress pad".
But, with that being said, I am curious why you didn't like the Sunbrella mattress cover.
Thanks!

We have a dark brown mattress cover that is waterproof which I bought off the internet. It's a little big but not enough to really bother me. It saved our bacon when I accidentally left the window open during a rain shower. The covers and pillows were wet, but the mattress was nice and dry. I'll try and find the web address and post it.

Laura - The company I purchased the mattress protector from was MattressSafe. Their website looks different ( Ultimate Mattress Encasement - Mattress Safe) but it also appears that they're selling on Amazon.

Thanks for the link Jan, I couldn't find it....
We bought the same cover (maybe based on your recommendation). It's very nice - protects the mattress & looks good.

Thanks! For both of your posts. I had not thought of that type of mattress cover/pad. Heck, didn't really know they existed! But that sounds like that might be what I'm looking for as it'll protect the mattress on all sides.
I'll read through their site later and see what's what.

I don't know how that compares to other similar brands. But, it's cool you can get it in other colors! (than white)

I forgot to ask - does this cover make noise? Like you're sleeping on a plastic cover type of noise?
Thanks!

We picked up a "Sleep Defense System" cover on Amazon. It was only $25 and it works very well. No crinkling noises when sleeping, and it doesn't change the feel of the mattress. It was also available in a "low profile" queen size, which fits our mattress perfectly with no excess material.

No Noise - the fabric is very soft and flexible.

One other thing, we picked up our Hypervent at the company in Marysville, WA ( HyperVent Marine - Putting An End To Condensation), and, at the same time, picked up one of their egg crate mattress toppers. Normally, I don't like the egg crate toppers; however, theirs is very comfortable and it, plus the mattress, fit very nicely in the mattress protector.
