U-dinette, table size
Trailer on order - 17B
Looking for your ideas on how to have the best of both worlds for my needs....
I really like the option of having the U-dinette for lounging... but I also like the idea of having lots of table space for projects. The table goes from 39.5" to 21.5" with the U-dinette. Anyone have any ideas on how to add a leaf for the smaller table?

Someone one the forum added an extension that folded under the table when not in use but I can't find it by using the search function. (This was not related to the U-shaped dinette but was sometime before that option came into being.)

Maybe a folding table like I made for my Scamp would work.

That's it (although I was wrong about the folding under)!! Thank you, Ron.

Folding & Sliding Marine Teak Tables
Not cheap but check out the folding and sliding tabletops at this site. I am thinking about trying the Lagun Pedestal but not sure I need a Teak tabletop. You can change the site to U.S. Dollar (or CAD) and get the correct price without the VAT tax.
I am planning to get the U shape option in the 5.0 TA.

It might be a great way to get adjustable height, the ability to rotate the table, and also remove the pole -- unlike my Springfield pedestal, which is permanent.

those were my thoughts. I have looked at the springfield but was not comfortable with the raised base when the table is removed. I'll have to look into it further with measurements and think some more about a table with leaf... that would be the best of all worlds for my needs.

Think this hardware will solve the problem of extending the smaller U-dinette table - does require storing the leaf somewhere when not in use...

Height adjustable between 500mm and 700mm (19.68" & 27.56").
What is the height of the table when sitting on the rails for use as a bed? It would be nice to just push it down to the correct height without needing to remove the pedestal.
