Two LED porch lights are now standard on all Escapes - on the driver and passenger side. They are mounted high unless you specify otherwise.

They used to be optional, but like several other features, Escape made them standard because so many buyers wanted them.

Another popular choice is to add a porch light on the front of the trailer to illuminate the hitch and tanks area, or the storage box. That's still "optional".

I wanted my curbside light mounted low, similar to the street side, just to illuminate the step and step area. I'm also getting the optional awning light which will be used to illuminate the general area.

Thanks, I didn't notice that they changed the location on the drivers side for the new models.

That is the same graphic color I selected for my Escape 19. I have a 2016 Black Ford F150 and am hoping the color matches up well with the truck. That's the reason I went with that color. With so many colors available I just took the safe route. Will see in about six months if I made the right choice. Mine will have the black belly band.

Our driver's side porch light came low as standard last year. Expect that they have been doing that for some time on all units. Some people cannot reach the earlier high lights.

Here in the deep south, white is the more popular go-to, match everything color. Black vehicles have a down side here during the broiling daytime heat of July and August. Add black leather upholstery, and you can burn the back of your legs when wearing shorts and cutoffs common to summer wear here. Those who still prefer a black vehicle often use remote engine start to pre-cool their vehicle in the summer much like people in the north use it to pre-warm their car in the winter.
