What else could we possibly need?

Thought we had bought just about everything for our 19' but there is no end to the items that we "need" because we keep getting more.

Latest is another outdoor mat to match our other little one because the first one is too small. Had to have those after seeing other Escape owners with mats! Then there is a lantern that keeps flying insects away. We'll see. More tank chemical, Odorlos, on recommendation of Escape and other owners. Another laundry bag --- can't have too many with all of the stuff we buy that we need to put into them! A Shurflo water pump silencing kit --- hope that is not too much time and we do need that.

A new water heater tank rinser that attaches to a hose to flush out the tank. Have to have that, don't we? Well, it was pretty cheap ($9). Another little trash receptacle. A shower head to replace the leaking one that Escape gave us. The new one should be much better anyway. If it doesn't leak!

I don't know what the next list will be but there will probably be one soon!

You need a log book. Just a hard cover notebook to note service done, good and bad campsites, weather, things to buy...

Yes, that IS something we need. Great idea. Services done including our own checks and changes. We did have all of our receipts which we gave to the next owners.

For each campsite, a good list such as likes, dislikes and whether there is a dump, showers, water spigots around campground, price, weather.

We did keep some of that for the 19' but really need a big notebook like you have.

I think so. All of those must-haves, many of which we do not have yet despite what seems like so much.

Two years later and I'm still buying. You will find, through use, that some items work well for your or their intended purpose while others do not. I think I'm on my 3rd coffee maker. Also things will now start to wear out or break from use, my awning light needs replacing.

When I was Scoutmaster we had a good line on a mail order friendly Army -Navy surplus store out in I think, San Diego. While many scouts had some kind of a pack or knapsack, once they earned some scout bucks they all ended up with ALICE packs, G. I. can opener,
Navy black watch cap, and finally G I Poncho. These were great and near indestructible. When unsnapped they were a large tarp big enough to store gear or firewood under and as a poncho went well below the knees. Lots of boys had two. If you ever get a chance to pick one up it's the best poncho I've ever experienced. The ballistic goggles with three sets of lenses were favored by the Goon patrol. Cooler than the coolest ski goggles

I second the log book. We also note all our costs. It's an easy way to compute our average daily costs that we then use for budgeting for future trips.

A log always sounded like a good idea but I'm not that organized. I jot down things I need on sticky notes, then misplace them. In the end it saves me money. VISA takes care of logging the costs if I need to know such.

I could never keep up a paper log book, but I now do an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of campground, fuel & propane costs. For some reason I do a better job of inputing the info than I did on paper...
