A quick tally has us paying almost $30,000 more for the standard features requested. I would bet the production wait time would decrease drastically.

And you have not even got into the options and custom modifications either, though many would now have become standard features.

Now here's an idea. For those wanting all these standard features, maybe they should look at an Airstream instead. Oh wait, they won't get them all there either.

Lots of good things to say about Airstream, but still lots of less desirable things too, not just the cost.

Jim,
Are you saying your new 5.0 is $60k with $30k in option or you are paying $30k more than you paid for your 19? I can not get anywhere near that amount with my iCloud 5.0 using just almost all of the listed shown plus some extras, I'm only nearing $42K

My interpretation of his comment about the additional $30K is that the options that posters are suggesting in this thread to be made standard would add an additional $30K to the current list price. I may be wrong...have been before.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. And a rough guestimate on those items that aren't done now (like automatic stabliizers).

Yep, this was what I was getting at, just quickly adding everyone's wants as standard. Maybe it might be only $25k.

What I am getting at though, is how ridiculous it is to try to include most everything mentioned as standard (though there are a couple ideas with merit), but instead the should be outdoor a options.

I thought the thread was intended to be for fun, not serious.

I'd like my 17B to grow automatically into a 21 now that we have fourfootitis.

For people who will be making a dinette into a bed, or who want convenient access to storage under the dinette bench. Have the cushions cut in half so there is a forward half and a back half. And cut the bench lids in half, particularly the curbside bench where the storage is. Access to the front part of the storage is almost as convenient as an overhead compartment, no more moving full length cushions out of the way or moving bedding aside. I did this and have yet to find any downside to the half cushions.

I also cut the table in half so the rear half could remain as a bunk or bedding storage place and the front half makes a table for one or two. Putting up half the table on its own post is 5 times easier than doing the whole table in one piece.

Yes and when you remove the table you have complete access to the very large back storage compartment.....

I like that our 19 doesn't have "automatic" everything. Makes it feel more like camping.

I'm not a big fan of "standard" stuff. My opinion is that ETI has built so many configurations they must have a pretty good handle on what customizations are popular, so makes more sense to me for them to have more of an ala carte spreadsheet of those options and the costs to choose from. The bewilderment of what is and is not possible when putting together a build sheet is confusing at present. The prices for various options may be different with the different sizes of trailers, but just to know what is possible, even if the price is "TBA" seems like it would be helpful to the customers.

Interesting idea! Hhhuuummm!

Do you have any photos that show this in detail that you could post? I like not having to move the entire cushion around when accessing those areas.

Also, is the area under the back portion of the u-shaped dinette open (which is looks like in CPAHarley's photo) or is it an enclosed area like on the sides? I forgot to ask that when I was up there yesterday.

Thanks
