Hi Wetzk and Hi Jim
Man do I ever have an idea. We get a Minnesota Escape owner to organize a Rally is SW Minnesota. We get them to set up a tour of the SPAM museum in Austin. We get a drinking bus and go down to Blue Earth or wherever it is and see the Jolly Green Giant. A spam potluck cook off. Jalapeño spam tacos. A hike where we look for giant mosquitoes, the Minnesota State Bird. There’s just so much that could be done and so little time.
Thanks for thinking of me
Spam, you don’t need no Pam!

I never was one much for okra. That said, when I worked on the hog kill a federal meat inspector who we called “The Reverend Mr Blunt,” would bring in a quart of picked okra every couple months. It was very tasty. He was a Vietnam Veteran who was the finest nunchuck technician I ever saw. He could really make them click. The management would put about 4 of us who could get along with him in key jobs when he was on the floor and the line would hum. He was no nonsense. The okra was a treat.

I lived in Minnesota for 65 years , ate plenty of Spam right up to the time of the Hormel strike and never saw, grew, or tasted okra.
It's just not a Minnesota thing !
It would be extremely nice and interesting if Iowa Dave would write a book of short stories to read around the campfire.
I for one would gladly buy an autographed copy.
