I want to know too! Sounds like we have a lot of interest among the Escapees. Maybe we need a Rhone River Rally!

It's historically based on the ability to maneuver in the river current. The upstream vessel has the right to blue board. Since I went down the whole Rhine I saw a lot of blue boards. Keeps you on your toes. Imagine being on a twisty mountain road and if the oncoming vehicle flashed a blue light you had to switch sides of road

Well, saying goodbye to beautiful Munich and the friendly German people. Flight leaves in an hour.

Had a grand send off last night in downtown Munich at perhaps the best traditional Bavarian restaurant and Beer house in the city - the Augustiner-Keller. Superb.

Auf wiedersehen!

Back in the USA. A question: if you land 4 hours after you took off, but it's a 10 hour flight, are those 6 hours credited to your life?

Yes... but you have to pay it back when you go the other way!

I guess that makes sense. truth be told my body clock is so confused right now that the 6 hours is irrelevant.

They must be and if you keep flying around the world West to East and each time you cross the international date line you go back to the previous day wouldn't you end up a baby if you did it long enough?

Let's get serious here.
I just came off the lake, fishing in my pontoon boat.
When you encounter a belly boat, for navigation purposes, which is port and which is starboard? Which is the bow and which the stern? I'm not sure who has to give way and which side to pass.

Hmm. If it's like this one, I'm assuming the bow is in front of him, the stern is behind him, and port/starboard are normal. What am I missing?
