The last line in the article says..."But next time, we decided, we'd want something maybe just a couple of feet longer."
Yeah, like an Escape 19.

Nice article with a fresh inexperienced viewpoint. I enjoyed it. Should have been a pretty enjoyable weekend with a base priced 52K tow vehicle pulling a base priced 45K 16 footer. 97K minimum to get on the road equipped like this. Bet the cost of KOA camping did not impress them. Think we will stick with the 21 Escape and start drinking better liquor with the leftover money.

I still think Escape is the most value for the money. Look at the prices of a trailer built on the west coast, I think Homegrown is the brand. Loren

They've improved their site since I last looked at it, as well as their trailer offerings. They're in my neck of the woods! Would be interesting to pop in there one day.
I'll still take my Escape, but others are fun to look at from time to time.

Saw that article. I think it mentioned something about “well heeled buyers”. But as my old grandfather would have said in his broken English. “to much coins”

I took a look at one when I bought our Airstream. Very nicely crafted. I saw a dealer’s YouTube video review and was shocked that they noted the fridge doesn’t run on propane, only electric.

45 K. Ouch !!!!!!! A little to stark and futuristic looking for me. Love our 19.

if its a compressor fridge, and there's substantial solar, I could almost go for that.

Nests are nice, no doubt. I prefer Robert Johans original vision a bit more than what it's become today, but still, very nice.
For me though it's a question of "bang for the buck". A Nest is too small for our needs, and far more expensive. I doubt that Nest campers would have any better camping experience than those in a basic 16 foot Scamp.

Totally agree... I can't believe the price of the Nest... I saw one in person and felt claustrophobic in it... something that does not happen with our Escape 19... And even though the Nest is fiberglass; it feels 'plastic' like and softer than our Escape 19.... I was not impressed with the Nest's size, but the interior is ultra-modern and bright.

FWIW, Airstream dealers routinely discount their trailers 20% (not that it matters).
