Amazing: Rec Tec RT700
It's not very often you purchase something that exceeds your expectations but my new Rec Tec RT700 falls into that category. Extraordinarily well built, 6 year warranty on everything, and precise temperature control.
I just put it together and did the burn in and wow, I'm impressed at the quality. Can't wait to cook on it. Should it be one of my 15 hour Texas briskets, some smoked salmon, or maybe a couple chickens? Too bad it's not portable enough to take camping!

Smoked meat, YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something I enjoy as well and my go to smoker is the Weber Smokey Mountain. I call my barbecue, 'Slap your Mamma' because if she took the last rib without sharing.... LOL
If you like smoked meat and want to do it camping the Cobb Grill can work for that. Little hard to regulate the temperature and not much cooking surface so ribs are out of the question but to do a small butt some fish it works for that.
Safe and fun travels too all. Happy Thanksgiving as well.

You know, with that new house and all the time needed to make it home and a new smoker grill and all the tasty recipes to try, and the really nice home for the Escape, I'm not seeing much time in the future being away from home?? Any big trips planned?

Not right now Jim, but it has more to do with settling in and being swamped with cybersecurity work. We will be planning a nice spring trip soon.

We have an older Traeger pellet grill that we love, but it's starting to show it's age...Hmmm....Santa is on his way...

First dish - I spatchcocked some chickens, added olive oil and a nice rub. Wow is all I can say. Best chicken ever.
