I have been watching the reports on CBC. I feel so sorry for all and hope that Mother Nature cooperates and the fires can end soon.

My heart goes out to all you Albertians and anyone else facing a disaster.

I salute your son, Dave, and all the brave firefighters working around the clock to save what they can. I watched a report about a firefighting crew preventing the flames from reaching the downtown area, that had been working non stop for almost 24 hours. What men!

I is just terrible what has happened, and is still happening. So many lost their homes, and so many who have no idea yet whether theirs was lost. Even those with homes still standing will be weeks before allowed to go back. My heart goes out to those affected, as well as all those involved with fighting the fire and helping these people out. Donations are in great need, just to help assist the housing, feeding and general needs of theses folks.

One good bit of news that came out yesterday, is that most of the infrastructure is unaffected, which will help greatly with the rebuild.

As everyone else is, I am so glad that there are no reported deaths or serious injuries as of yet. Let's hope it remains so.

The reports we've been getting are really devastating. Prayers to all and a big to all the professionals risking their lives to protect others.

So early in the fire season too.
