Am visualizing John Belushi in Animal House breaking that guy's guitar if you really play anything resembling those two

Bob: Your question is straight forward - the answer isn't! For example, my changing list of over 100 songs contains only one of the songs in Jim's post #11; and I am familiar with maybe 6 on his list. I can't post my list here, and it might not help YOU that much anyway (it's biased toward bluegrass, which fits most of my jamming venues). When I occasionally play with new musicians, it often becomes "do you know…?" Several years ago I performed three songs during a college reunion theatre show; "Country Roads" was the one that inspired my classmates to sing along. Maybe best to choose what you like, leaning toward stuff that likely has familiarity. Happy picking...

Maybe these will help - websites with bluegrass, country, folk, and traditional chords and lyrics: Classic Country Music Lyrics | Guitar Chords with Lyrics Folk, Bluegrass & Traditional Songs with Chords(a-c) Bluegrass songs with chords - Bluegrass Songs - with chords - index page …if it makes it to the thread and doesn't get buried. Lots of stuff - some with fairly universal familiarity…Glenn.

For me, having fun is a big part of life, camping included. Come and try it with us, you might just end up enjoying yourself.

I have very rarely played in an "official" campground, but when I have, it usually draws out other players, and lots of folk that want to socialize. listen and sing along.

Coming soon to a campground near you. Get your tickets while they are still available.

My self described guitar style is "Campfire Thrasher".

Sounds like I should get my guitar out and learn to play it again.

I am a little worried, though. In this sophisticated group, I may need to learn to play something beyond "Squaws along the Yukon."

Jim,
If you would learn Golden Guitar,'the Whispering Bill Anderson arrangement, I'd come a long way to hear it played. That and Porter Waggoners " Carroll County Accident. Get yourself a tip jar before this goes to far.
