I haven't drank from a garden hose in ages, at least 4 months. [emoji16]

We fill our trailer water tank from outside taps and use it for drinking water. I am way more cautious when filling week elsewhere though.

That's only because the water in the hose has been ice for four months

Hi Alf
I think somebody told me that some brands of bottled water have a little salt in them? Go figure.

That's for sure. Kinda hard to get that good flow in the hose right now.

Pat,
I think it would be best to clarify the subject of Ventura County water, for our friends in other areas that have real drinking water.
(This description is a generalization, so no critiques, please).

In the County, the water sources are rain water accumulation in the mountains behind us (in front of us being the Pacific Ocean) with accompanying reservoirs and wells, and, water imported primarily from northern CA. The imported water is injected into underground aquifers for storage and distribution.
So, we all get well water, essentially, from our local water districts!
When we were kids, it was great fun to get a glass of water from the tap, then see how long it took for the little white particulates to settle to the bottom of the glass. (Note: In the east ˝ of the Ojai valley the particulates are grey, due to the sulfides, but then, that's the area where the first oil wells in CA were brought into production.)

So, as adults, we use filters and change them regularly.

After that big earthquake and the water was brown and rust colored and we were told to boil first decided then and there to filter our water . You also forget where we live across from, that is another matter . I really don’t feel questioning the quality of our water is a generalization . Pat
