I thought about cutting off the end of a paint mixer. Or filing off the part from a mixer blade that won't fit in the drill. Something like that. I'd rather not carry another electric tool when I have the drill anyway (for the stabilizers.)

I think you could go to a "Good Will Store" and easily find an electric hand mixer beater. If it works ... keep it ... no? well try the paint mixer. I don't think you'll need to cut any thing off.
