Escape home theatre

If you just can't decide where to put your TV screen, maybe this will give you some ideas:

I hope that doesn't catch on. I already think that it's rude to have external TV's on RV's.

Fortunately, they are rarely used. We have one on our motorhome (because it came that way - no option), and the only time it has been turned on was to test it to see if it worked. I have only seen one in use in any campground: someone with a very similar motorhome was using theirs to play music while they sat by the campfire for less than an hour, at a reasonable time of the evening.

Several years ago Dave&Kathie and I were camping on the Oregon Coast in February. Great dry and warm weather! In the park, we walked past a couple of large motor homes that were having a tailgate party. 4-5 EZ-ups, a couple of BBQs going with ribs and wings (smelled good) and they were watching a soccer game on a big TV as above. They were having fun. Not loud and obnoxious and certainly no worse than folks sitting around a campfire at night who think they can sing and play musical instruments. Different strokes for different folks.

Hi Don
The last thing I personally want to do when I’m camping is watch TV or a movie.
I’d rather go to an old nearby depot/ visitor center / museum with a Milwaukee caboose like they have in the little town of Marquette Iowa. How about you?

A lot of people, especially in the full hookup parks, are full-time and are not camping. It’s their home and as long as they are respectful and vice versa don’t have any issue with patio TV’s, music, etc. Hopefully they’ll invite us over for the Super Bowl Party.

Absolutely, Dave. Like last weekend. Drove up to Tehachapi, met up with our camping/fishing/exploring friends, then we all followed some trains down the mountain to the Train show in Bakersfield. Didn't have any snow, though. It stopped above 4,000 ft., and our friend's home is at 3999'.

Don, you could have paid us a visit if you wanted to see snow! We are at 5,600 ft.

Nice, Greg. Just enough to cover and play in, and not enough to break your back shoveling!
Just heard from friends in WI; they're absolutely done w/winter.

We did have a group sitting outside of a Bigfoot at the Quartzsite rally watching the Super Bowl, but they were quiet enough that they didn't bother anyone, and had great snacks!
