Finally, Pennsylvania poutine

What can be more poutine like than Lebanon bologna gravy over mashed potatoes? So the other day - to keep up my Pa. Dutch proficiency - I tried some at Rutters. Pretty good. Lived up to the billing in this story: " ... (C)hipped sweet bologna gravy is a pepper-laced cream gravy with chopped pieces of sweet Lebanon bologna, which adds a touch of sweetness" -Ironically the poutine I had in Osoyoos was from the gas station right outside the cg and here in York, Rutters is a local gas chain....

Hi: cpaharley2008... I hate "Spreading". It's messy. Reminds me of the "Bounty" dog and the spreading Wonton noodle!!! Alf

Jim, you'd better just change this here thread name to: "THE Poutine thread!".

(Which, of course, would mean that I won't dare post a picture of animal fries.)

Jim, no offense but we had something that looked similar in the Navy. We called it s**t on a shingle.
Never tried it but I'm sure poutine must taste better!

SOS was creamed chipped beef over toast when I had it in the service. Poutine is a lot tastier.

Exactly! Must give poutine a try. I wonder if it's available in California? Surfer poutine, maybe?

That's not poutine! Not even close. Mashed potatoes and gravy are not the same.
