The hail broke the skylights on the Walmart roofs and was coming into the store. People were running all over looking for cover.

Hail Damage San Antonio

Well, we unfortunately did not fare well with the recent hail storm in San Antonio. We store our Escape 21 at Camp Bullis Military reservation. They emailed us after the storm with pictures of hail that hit that area on April 13. Definitely larger than golf balls.
We initially saw no damage on first inspection but when we took it home and could get up on a ladder, we saw our solar panel with a large crack. The one photo has a quarter laying on it, for comparison.
The other hole we found was on the cover over the refrigerator. We have filed a claim and taken our trailer for further inspection and an estimate.

Ouch! At least those two items are easily replaceable. You should be covered by insurance.

We were very fortunate in the Canyon Lake area. No hail, just lots of rain. The Northwest side of San Antonio going out IH-10 toward Boerne looks like it was the hardest hit.

Our house is near Hwy 1604 and Bandera Rd. We had no hail in that area that goodness.

Several years ago we got hit by a storm in Montana. First it rolled across the area around Bozeman. Insurance companies had tents set up in Bozeman parking lots for weeks working on claims. Our place was about 70 miles east of Bozeman and it hit us. I can't remember the total estimate but it was somewhere north of 90k. Wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee was totaled. My Dodge 2500 had to have the roof, hood and windshield replaced and the no paint dent repair guy sent his kid to college. Game bird farm two miles over lost over 4,000 birds and the UPS guy told me he had talked to ranchers that were finding dead fawns in their pastures. Every time I see red on the radar I find a place to hide my current Ram.

Just be happy you did not own an Airstream, it would have been totaled. I saw an automobile that had "acne" on the roof, and sides. I asked about it and they said it had been totaled in a hail storm and the insurance replaced just the hood and trunk, the rest was not fixable.

I didn't mention that I did have an Aliner Alite and it was destroyed and I wound up replacing some of the top covers and one complete side of my Lance 835. I think the damage estimate on the Lance was around $8500. I had to replace the roof on my separate garage/shop and when I replaced it I had the roof extended over a 20x40 foot concrete pad that was in front of the garage. I could park three vehicles there under protection.
