Jim, have you tried the crab cakes at Jeffs Got Crabs and Seafood in town? The place doesn't look like much but boy were they good.

Jim Do you cook much seafood at home? We don't get
Much out here that's very fresh so it's not on our menu very often. All we have for a restaurant is Red Lubstah

There's Red Lobster, then there are real seafood restaurants.

Jim you have that right. I did hit a couple excellent seafood places in Myrtle Beach and at Hilton Head both in South Carolina last two times I was down there.

I love good seafood, and had some out in Vancouver last weekend. It is pretty dear to buy it in stores here in Calgary.

Happy Birthday Texas
Hard to find a decent Crab Cake here in Texas, but we do have excellent seafood along the gulf coast. In my biased opinion, the best shrimp too.

Maryland Blue Crabs are normally best in July-September, particularly better if it has been a hot summer. Steam them in Old Bay and beer with corn on the cob and serve with some cold beer, heaven.
Not sure if I can bring frozen crab meat across the border, but if I can I will next time. Some mayo and seasoning, cooked in butter on the cast iron griddle, crab cakes you will not forget. Also can make a mean salmon cake, when salmon is available.
