I do some cooking in the Dutch oven- baking bread, rolls, scones, casseroles, etc. Right now fixing crab mac and cheese. I catch up on reading as that’s the only time I read mostly nowadays (listen to audio in the car.) take the dogs for walks.

AeroPress coffee is not espresso. I use one most of the time at home and always on the road. You get a heavy extraction and add hot water to how you prefer the taste which varies from one been variety to another.

One key to making a better cup of coffee, regardless of the extraction method, is to freshly grind beans, and the fresher the bean roast the better.

My hobbies include, amateur astronomy, bicycling, reading, sampling interesting craft beers... I used to be a fairly serious amateur photographer, but I've drifted away from that, now I just take photos mostly with my cellphone to document things, or pretty scenery.

Hi Bob,
My best suggestion is to pack good raingear and adequate clothing to stay warm underneath. Bad weather … what's that? Get outside and explore what other lunatics you can find out there. Pretty much guarantee that they will be interesting.

I find that the bigger the RV the less time the owners spend outside their RV. So many times an out of state $100,000. RV will pull into camp and no one ever gets out …. three days or more days later, they up and leave. WHAT have they been doing that whole time? I appoint you Bob, Ambassador At Large to find out and report back to us.

Tom

We’ve gotten into walking/hiking this last year. We do the 10,000 steps deal daily and this activity lends itself very well to rv parks, campground locations and touring.
You also need very lil of anything to get started, just good pair of sneakers or hiking boots and off you go. We use the phone to track the steps.

I too am a Keurig user, I have found this very handy for the trailer. Microwave or add hot water, so far so good and seems it will be long lasting.

The Keurig started out because we couldn’t agree on the pot of coffee . Too strong , not strong enough . That looks interesting for coffee . Linda also drinks tea everyday . Me not so much . Pat

The fellow who invented Keurig capsules regrets it because of the environmental damage from materials that aren't easily recycled.
You can make your own special coffee just as easily with a paper filter and coffee grounds.
From Wikipedia:
In the 2010s, beginning primarily with a 2010 article in the New York Times,[96] Keurig has been publicly criticized by environmental advocates and journalists for the billions of non-recyclable and non-biodegradable K-Cups consumers purchase and dispose of every year, which end up in landfills.[97][98][99][100][101] Some competing single-cup brands have single-serve pods that are recyclable, reuseable, compostable, or biodegradable.[96][97][102][103]

We know Glenn . We use our own coffee in the Solo or Kureig coffee brewer containers .We save a lot of money too. About 150 to each can of coffee .Pods are expensive! Pat

Of the about a dozen friends who used to have a Keurig, maybe one still uses one. While a great convenience in a business to offer differing coffees and drinks, the quality is just not as good as other methods using fresh ground coffee.

A few did buy the cups you can add your own fresh ground to, but most did not use them. If you do, good on you, but there are just so many other better methods for extraction and better suited to camping.

I have been in customers houses where they have one cupboard full of varying drinks for the Keurig. I bet freshness is not a priority.

But hey, if you are getting what you desire, then there really is no issue. I am just one of those guys for who a good cup of coffee (or two, or three) is very important. I know, I'm weird.

You're not weird at all But "a good cup of coffee" is subjective. We all like what we like, I've had coffee that others thought was terrific. Tasted like sludge to me.

Revisit the art of letter writing.
Especially in this age of electronics, seems people of all ages feel very special receiving a written letter....Can also tuck in small flat/flattened items.
Also consider writing your (or others') political reps (local, state and national) re issues you care about - let them know how well you think they are doing their job.

Outside hobbies can include using a metal detector (check local rules and regs), 'rock hounding, gold panning', Geocaching. I think anything that gets people outside and moving around is GOOD. Inside it tougher when you need to share the space....
