Hot!

Well, I guess we've been spoiled by the relatively mild summers lately. This one looks to be a burner. 102 for a high today.

Oh well, it's the "4 months of hot" thing right now. Waiting for the 8 months of nice!

Hope you safely survive those dangerous temperatures

We hit 108 in California last month, the refer was struggling to maintain it's setting. Extreme hot and cold tests our bodies and trailers.

I think it's a perfect time for Jim Bennett to come on down. We all know how much he likes the heat. [emoji23]

If nothing else it would be entertaining to see his reaction.

I'm visiting family in Dallas for two birthdays and Father's Day. Reminds me of the question, " was this place inhabited before air conditioning?" Great to visit family, but miss the mountains of Western North Carolina that I call home. If it gets too hot there, I just hook up the 19 and move over to the Smoky Mountains.

Everywhere I've been so far on my current trip (New Mexico, Montana, Canada, E. Washington) I've been told that the seasons are about two weeks behind schedule. At least Texas is getting back to normal.

As to the question about Texas being inhabited before A/C, the Texas Gulf Coast is called "The coast that Carrier built".

Ouch! Don't remind me Glenn.

That's one of our favorite spots.

Well, my first reaction cannot be typed out here, as that kinda language is not allowed on this public forum.

No way in hell (which is where you seem to be) would I want to be there in this weather. Our forecast high is to be a lovely and tolerable 18C° (64°F), lovely shorts and T-shirt weather. I would have to dress skyclad to be in Texas right now, and you would not want to see that.

We just returned from a week's fishing in Manitoba . Sunshine ,
blue skies and temps in the mid to upper 60's.
Canada is close to heaven in my estimation , temps in the 100 deg range are closer to the other place.

We have a "mere" 95F (35C) here in our part of Texas. That is the difference between north and south Texas. 95F is fine with me. Was out of the ice and snow in winter and was glad to be here then. Will be up north for some of summer.

I still think it would be entertaining. Maybe not as much as a photo of me freezing my backside off in Alberta in January, but entertaining nonetheless.

Expecting to push 100°F here today. Just thinking of Ron gazing out the back window of his trailer up in Newf-land, at a horizon of sea filled with icebergs.

Even our usually cool home on the lee shore of Lake Ontario is at 90°F this afternoon. At least it usually cools into the 60's at night.

This was taken Monday, June 13. Photo of a desperate fisherman trying to get to open water to catch elusive trout. The trout were the winners that day.

I'll get revenge in a couple of weeks.
