I thought that religion and politics were taboo subjects on this forum?

Apparently, sticking to the technical/engineering details is OK.
(And since there's very little having a technical or engineering basis in politics, we'll see none of that! )

Gonna make a suggestion here. I use to belong to a Vespa/Lambretta/Scooter forum. One member liked to post jokes. It worked best, when all the jokes stayed within one thread, otherwise it creates a mess.

Well, they are in the Cyber Campfire, which sounds like an appropriate place to me.

Do you still have scooters? My daughter and son in law have two Vespas and and a Fuji Jet or something like that. They hosted Amerivespa when it was in Salt Lake City and have gone to the Moab rally a couple of times. If I am relagated to just jokes and trivia, that category will be the only place I can post, I really don't have much relative the to say, and that's good with me.

I'm with Jim and Iowa Dave. I like a little humor on most every thread. Life is good!

I was with Jim and Dave at the Niagara Wine Escape last year. There was almost too much humour there

You're too kind reverend. It's better than the dramatic readings I've
been known to do at gatherings. There's been mutterings about who's got a rope when I sing.

I had three Vespas, and one Servetta, which is a Spanish Lambretta. Sold two Vespas when I bought my current home, helped with the down payment. Another one helped pay for a trip to Disney.
The Lambretta was the only one I really miss, sold it and took a cruise to Bermuda. It was a custom restoration, with very nice artwork imho on it. A bit of a Grateful Dead theme. I think it's somewhere around the Southeast now.
I've been to a bunch of Rallies on the East coast, and Amerivespa when it was in Chattanooga, TN in maybe '08? Ask your daughter if she misses the BBS?
Here I am on a Vespa P200 at Deal's Gap in NC. US129 is called, "The Dragon," 318 turns in 11 miles.

I'll show them the post. When I was growing up a girl in my grade had a red Lambretta. I ran into her about a month ago. Hadn't seen her for 49 years. She knew me and doubted outloud that I knew her. My response was " Nikki, do you still have that Red Lambretta." Got me the standard "Oh my God."
