Sounds like you guys were those stoooopid noisy boys (she says with a voice of a 7 year old girl). To be really cool you needed a pinwheel and streamers on the handlebars

You are young, we listened to the Dr. while picketing an entry point at the packing house, while on strike. First time I ever saw a .32 cal chrome plated revolver. Scary.

Dick Biondi is still on the air on weekend mornings on WLS-FM, and this is the radio I listened to him during my misspent youth. Edit tried to add a picture of an old 60s Mitsubishi transistor radio and it didn't take .

In 1956 our TV broke in VA just before my dad got transferred to Juneau. He said to forget it b/c TV wasn't much good there. Sure enough for 5 years there all I got to watch occasionally were 2 week old Dennis the Menace reruns at a friend's house shipped up from Seattle to be played by the local TV station. Instead I learned to read and listen to the radio.

Ain't that something? How about this: I'm so old I actually read books as a child.

Yep me too . Went down to the library on my bike ,and got the limit 10 books at a time . Went home and read every book . Would find quiet places to read , like one of my parent's cars ,getting in the back and locking the doors so my younger brothers couldn't bother me . Big Oldsmobile under a shade tree and they didn't know I was there . Pat

I had streamers at one time too, but not pink ones.

I read every one..... in about 2 weeks.

Okay, that may be exagerating, but when I was young, up to my mid-teens when I found out about girls an partying, I read about 4 books a week.

I used balloons in the spokes, right amount of air so they would not bust often, Both sides in the rear, what a sound. Carl
