Just for fun

Thought you might enjoy seeing this. It's a 1958 BMW Isetta with trailer. Designed in 1953 by Ermenegildo Preti for Italian Rivolta. Goes to show, a good trailer design never goes out of style.

I was just discussing those Isettas with another forum member less than a week ago. We had a dealer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, my home town. He’d have three or four in stock and parked them in front of his brake and alignment shop on Ellis Boulevard. We would go up to the boat harbor on the river and go past this dealership and sometimes see a couple local guys drive their amphicars down the boat ramp and into the river. An army surplus DUKW was a regular seasonal sighting too. There were some unique items on the market back in those days. One house on our street was made into two apartments. One tenant had a Nash Metropolitan and the other a 1953 Jaguar coupe. A great time to grow up in my opinion. Thanks for the Isetta picture.

I like this 2CV combo, but I only have a model.
Perhaps we can discuss this Euro hitch?
