I know, I know. But, it's fun to imagine.

Not much construction going on outside today in Calgary. Minus 36 with wind chill.

If that's Celsius, it's only an 88 degree difference (F) from here.

I don't shovel rain or snow ( when it happens ). I just watch TV news until it melts. Saw there was a 50 car pile up in Calgary.

Well not that amusing for the people involved. Can't fix stupid when it comes to driving on icy foggy roads. I wait until 10 then drive in. And leave at three when it is like this. BTW it is actually a bylaw that you have to shovel the sidewalk in front of your house here, so hard to avoid shovelling. And they do issue tickets.

No sidewalk in front of my house, or street lights to attract criminals ( and, it's a dead end street ). Next door neighbour wanted to have the district put up 'no parking' signs in the turnaround because tenants in illegal suites park there. I pointed out that they would then park in front of our houses.
Don't need no stink'n bylaws.
Oh yah. My trailer isn't supposed to be in the driveway either.

On that note, my Dad lives in Layton Utah. They have a city ordinance that requires you to shovel your sidewalks and there are stiff fines for not doing it. My Dad won't leave Utah in the winter even for a short period because he says he's afraid of getting fined if it snows. I suggested he hire someone to shovel in case it snows, but no go.

In areas where snow is routine, service are commonly available which don't even need to be called when they are needed: once contracted, they monitor snowfall and clear according to an agreed standard of service. Of course, the cost can be significant.

Finally a little progress, and improved weather. We've had one drizzly rainy day after another for weeks now, with only a few breaks.

Was in DC this last week and it looks like they got alot done while I was away. They've started on the plumbing and mechanical, and have the roof deck and barrier done.

You may not want to go camping anymore with all of the these positive things going on in your daily lives. I think some of us like to escape the doldrums of our life when going camping. Nice view and home.

For me it has always been the opposite, to get away from all the busyness of life, to slow things down for a while.

That's a very important out-building, on the right.
