Man Crushed by His Camper

Well here's a sad one. A guy camping in ND went outside in the middle of the night to tie things down due to strong winds, and a gust blew his camper on to him and crushed him. Sheesh.

So sorry for anyone impacted. Some of those SOB's are like 4x8 pieces of plywood at right angles to strong winds, rounded contours seem to do better, hopefully.

The small camper on the right that is tipped over doesn't have any wheels under it. Was it blown off of its frame? Or was it tipped the other way and I'm looking at its roof and not its bottom? It's hard to tell from the photo.

Every time a large storm would come through at the industrial parks where I have worked, we would go around and secure the trailers with tie downs. How would you prevent this at a campsite?

Here is an update on the tragedy.
