Oops!

After a restless sleep, I thought I'd get up at 4 am ..... headed for the kitchen and put on some coffee water .... decided to butter some bread and put in the toaster oven ... then off down the hall to do what most of us do 1st thing in am and to get my glasses.

On my return, the kitchen smelled kinda funky .... apparently, I had buttered and toasted the kitchen sink sponge .....

Oh no!

Tom

I've had a piece of sponge cake, but haven't yet tried sponge toast. It sounds like it could be chewy.

Tom, be honest, is this a result of mistaking a bottle of whiskey for your evening juice drink last night?

Hi Jim .... No whiskey involved .... just wasn't awake I guess. Thought my mistake was a pretty funny joke on myself. Next time I'll put on my glasses before cooking anything ... luckily there weren't any sharp implements involved.

Surprised nobody else has any admissions to make .....

I think everyone has erred similarly multiple times. I know I have. [emoji16]

I can’t say I’ve ever put a sponge in a toaster but I have attempted to reload a Browning Semi Automatic shotgun in a moment of haste and had the tube of chapstick flip right back out of the magazine, But the deer was already mortally wounded.
