I think you meant mushroom anchor.

I did a Google because I couldn't remember the term, and came up with "grapnel", but I think I meant mushroom anchor too.

With small dogs you could use a popup pen. I just use 24" ex-pens and put up with the weight as I like to fence the whole trailer. Although now my old guy who liked to hang out under the trailer is gone, so I will likely only use two in front of it (I was using four.) The plastic ones are nice, I have one, but it is bulky so you trade a small decrease in weight for bulk.

Tie-outs work well for one dog, not so well for two.

Dog pens

It is pretty silly, but our 2 60# goldendoodles don't jump the 2' tall folding pen we got from PetCo. We may just be lucky as I have had other smaller breeds that could scale anything.
The pen is handy, folds flat and can add sections as desired. When we travel with friends we add theirs to ours. Last year in Jasper we had 6 chairs and 6 dogs in the pen hanging out with evening drinks. It is great to have a place to have the dogs off leash and nearby, especially when setting up camp.

We put the folded up stack of sections in the back of the Highlander to travel.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do have an 8 panel wire pen already but was looking for lighter & possibly bigger square footage. Will bring that pen. Btw these were used to keep them out of my square ft garden. Probably get some other good ideas at the rally. Appreciate your help.
