Public Lands Legislation

Just came across this article and thought some may be interested in it. Overall good news, I think. Now if Congress can just pass a budget before Friday!

Thanks for sharing. I don't live to far from Kennesaw Mtn and have been there on many occasions, when it says significant expansion I wonder what that could be because don't think there is that much land left around the park itself that has not been developed. Maybe they plan to add a campground? I believe it to be one of the most visited parks in the U.S.

Enjoy the journey.

Good news indeed, but it's not settled law yet. Does it go to the House now? Hopefully, if it makes it to the president's desk he will sign it.

"The 662-page measure, which passed 92 to 8, represented an old-fashioned approach to dealmaking that has largely disappeared on Capitol Hill. Senators from across the ideological spectrum celebrated home-state gains and congratulated each other for bridging the partisan divide."

Well, that's a rarity indeed.

Yes, it’s called pork. As long as everyone gets their share, they are happy.
