Where is the stove cover when the stove is in use?

Yep, very easy. One cut and a couple of bends, then flare the end. About 10 minutes.

It was the standard orientation before Greg (side to side) and that's a very good thing. I think it's too deep to install the other way. The length of the cutout according to the directions is 22", but I cut it to 21 1/2" and it fit fine.

Just rest it along the wall behind the stove.

Me too. I think the biggest benefit is the useable counterspace. We often cook outside, or the meal doesn't involve cooking, so the counterspace is gonna be quite handy.

nice looking burner mod...does the stainless steel used in its mfg seem pretty heavy duty/rugged construction?
see it online for about $500...which is certainly less than the MSRP.
In the 19 this certainly does create more usable counter top as your pics show.

It's marine grade stainless - and it's overbuilt. It's quite a bit heavier than the stock stove.

Not really Pat, although I do appreciate the compliment. For it to be "exceptional", you'd have to do something like Chris R did with his 5'er. Now that's exceptional. My little mods do make it nicer though, and I do have fun with them.

Wow! Very nice. I'm going to have to figure out the best way to add this to our upcoming 5.0 TA.

Chuckster, I agree!! We too have a 5.0 TA ordered and would love this cooktop! I will give ETI a call and see if they will install it if we provide the cooktop. I'm also wondering about the upgrade for the vent hood. Mark

Really like your mods. Could you share more details about the sliding shelves in the pantry?

Sure. I can take a couple photos when I get back home (currently out of town), but they're basically stock shelves from:
http://www.shelvesthatslide.com
Don't recall the width (either 11" or 12") or the depth (21" or 22"). Kind of a pain to install the rails in such a tight space but we like them.
