Spring has sprung...
The fish are rather large for not eating for past 4 months, maybe some new additions will be forthcoming....

My neighbor mentioned all of his were missing. Two days later a mink ran out of the lower end of our prairie and down the farmer’s drainage way. Coincidence?
We’ve got a koi breeder south of us a few miles. Now those are some spensive goldfish. Kloubec Koi Farm. I mean a thousand bucks for a Carp with a paint job? Seems high to me.

Mine were 10 for a $5 at local pet store, 8 years ago, now I have 35 of them.

Yup, mine were bought as feeder fish also at about 29 cents each and some are quite old and the size of small koi. At least they were when I last saw them. I got complacent about my cattle fence for the raccoons and looked out one night about Xmas to see 3 of them fishing.
They do have places to hide but I'm holding my breath that they survived.
The ice is melting fast now. Next thing I know Baglo will be posting photos of his rhubarb. Mine's not showing much sign of anything yet.

Time to crop a few off for cash or start a second pond. Maybe a “pay for fishing”
Pond. Catch and release. Not for me but maybe for others. I practice catch and in the grease.

That's a lot of fish ......we don't have a pond now, but at our old house we bought tiny fish every spring and then took them back to the pet shop on the fall about three to four times the size. We've reached melting season here too

Rhubarb Index 2019
If you insist. Best I can do. Still have a glacier in the back yard, but it's supposed to warm significantly this weekend.

Good job Glen, there’s still quite a bit of snow over ours yet. We lost a lot today though.
It’s chilly here tonight

They're excellent together. Had them for breakfast the other day.
Chili is a food similar to pizza, in that, the flavors continue to meld, and are often best for breakfast.
(having said that, I've never had pizza and eggs for breakfast).
Scrapple and eggs: another example.

Our roof is covered with snow , the ground is still frozen , our lake is still frozen over and they are out ice fishing , and as far as you look there is snow !
Draw any conclusion you wish !!
