Wow, Glenn, that's the worst case of tree scum I've seen since I brought my first trailer home. It had been ignored in a backyard for years, what a disaster. Wish I knew then what I know now.... I freaked, went and spent $70+ for the 3-part Vertglas system of fiberglass renewal.... What a newbie lesson in not-so-cost-efficient blundering!

Son-in-law is coming over in a month with all his polishing tools and products and taking care of the spit and polish. I'll be standing by ( make that sitting ), with beer in hand, admiring his work.

I would if he lived closer, 50 miles may as well be 500, just holidays right now. But that reminds me, 2 more days to both happy hour and Escape's unveiling.

Doug was not working all weekend (and I was) but he put carpet in 3 of the 4 storage areas under the seats for our "extra" insulation. He hasn't done the one with the water pump etc in--thinking we will glue in some reflectix the best we can in there..(have run out of the carpet chunks)
Looks pretty good and hopefully will keep it a bit warmer..
He also bought a digital thermostat which will get put in before the rally...
Once that gets done I can lightly wash the interior and get things organized...I want to buy a runner for the whole length of the trailer....
Outside is still a lighter shade of pale (green)...And the solar panel is very dusty and dirty....
Soon....it is warming up during the day--but Dougs bike ride to work in the morning is still quite cool...He needs his gloves!!!

I'm wearing latex gloves while washing the trailer. It helps.

It should. I was laying down on the floor this winter right by the converter and I was surprised by the amount of cold air coming out the gap from the locker.
I've thought about doing that myself. I wish ETI would have covered those areas with vinyl as part of the extra insulation package.

Week of the 11th I'll be in San Francisco. So, spring weather to come. Mid 60's and sunny. Paradise!

I used a soft car wash brush and a turk's head from my boating days. I've still got to deal with the tree sap. Will have a go with Turtle Bug 'n' Sap and a plastic putty knife.

Tree sap comes off quite well with a paper towel and a little Ban-ice or some other kind of gas line antifreeze. Wood alcohol based i believe. It works wonders and is cheap as well, found in most northern states parts houses. I doubt if you can find it in Arizona.

Not always. I remember times when a stiff wind was blowing on my exposed face at 10 below F, and other times when no jacket would have produced comfort. On the other hand, I've never been so hot that sitting in the shade, even in the brutal Florida summer weather, hasn't resulted in major discomfort. Personally, I would rather wipe sweat off my face than to shiver uncontrolably with my teeth chattering.

And I'd be sitting there with a t shirt and flip flops enjoying it too. It's what you're climatized to. I grew up in the High Rockies, and 3-4 foot snow storms and below freezing weather were common. Never thought I'd be able to stand the heat and humidity of the South. It took a year or two, then I settled in. Now when I go back to where I was raised I can't believe how cold it is, and I wonder how I did it.

Spring has sprung...
Off topic: I'm really liking the Sleeman Honey Brown on tap here at my hotel.
Don't know if it tastes like Spring, but darn good.

You should travel up here to northern canada. Was a beautiful day today and is supposed to hit the low 70's F tomorrow.

How is that fair? You're north of me and it'll be minus 12 Celsius here on Monday....[emoji20]

Take consolation that you still have to do the conversion. When it gets to -40 it's the same for all of us. I've been out in -28 F real temp and that's cold enough for me.

When I was growing up as a child, the sledding started to get real good at -30F.
At -40 we got to stay home from school and go out to play.
Of course that was not in Vancouver!!
Much further north in the Peace River Country.
Glad I don't have to make the decision anymore, to go out or stay in!!
