Tapatalk on newer Android phones

So I finally got my company to agree to upgrade my phone from an iPhone 5 to a Samsung Galaxy S7. Love the phone and now get more than a day of battery life instead of 4 or 5 hours.

BUT, Tapatalk doesn't work the same on Android as it does on the iPhone. Hate it. Can't quote or multi quote and then edit the quoted portion. At least I haven't seen how to yet. Terrible app on Android, or at least, much more complicated.

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I find Tapatalk to be entirely free of value. Not cost... value. I installed it, but don't bother using it. If I must use my phone for the forum, I just use the browser; that might be a viable option for those unimpressed by Tapatalk.

On the bright side, it's good to hear that there's something good about the Tapatalk app on iOS. Given that it is incapable of posting more than one photo in a post, and doesn't handle the iOS image rotation tag...

Never tried it before but I got a new Galaxy a couple weeks ago so I gave it a shot. Didn't care for it at all, I'll just keep using the browser (Firefox).

Actually I did try it before, back when it was first introduced here. Didn't like it then but blamed it on having an old out of spec phone.

I find Tapatalk very useful on my phone. In fact, I am using it right now on my Galaxy S6.

I would just say to keep at it. Practice makes perfect.

I find Tapatalk WAY easier to use when viewing of the Forum on my phone, then using a browser

Hmmm.... Seems to work fine for me. Love it!

Oh, and you can get rid of that signature line too.

And editing your post to get rid of the stupid way that speech to text translates is easy as well.

I installed Tapatalk about 2yrs ago. I used it a few times that first week but never since. I guess that is an indication of what I thought of it. LOL.

I have it, don't use it. Perhaps because I haven't used it.
Not sure how you have it display only unread posts. Don't have enough interest to find out.

Easy peasy. Just click on the UNREAD tab, and the list is the same as hear.

I I am at home, I will usually default to using my PC, as I can type faster and more legibly than I can talk to my phone, and edit.

But, if away from my computer, often even at home, I just use Tapatalk. The learning curve is not very big, and it really does beat the browser view IMHO.

I don't even have any interest to have a smart phone.

This is why I like using my phone. Much simpler than lugging a laptop and finding WiFi to stay connected.

It kinda looks like I am a lone duck here, as one who likes and uses Tapatalk. Just like so many other things new to us, once we give them a good go, they often turn out to be quite a good thing.

No skin off my butt though whether others care to use it or not. I am very thankful for it myself.

I too use Tapatalk, it's handy to keep up with the forum when camping or travelling. To me it seems easy to use on my iPhone 6.
Cheers

I recently switched from a iPhone to a S7 Edge. I only use tapatalk to read and usually never post with it.

Maybe it's a sign

Anyway I love my new phone

Maybe it's because you can't see the tags for what you're quoting

It's simpler but with less control. And, the app doesn't show you the number of unread posts. Once you read them, they still show up as unread. Or, it shows no unread posts when there are a bunch of them.

Oh well, a browser works.[emoji1]

Aha. More steps. I can live with that. My life is already complicated to the point where I won't notice.[emoji1]

Thanks.

To multi-quote, just tap on all the posts you want in your quote. If they are blue, they are in.

They you can edit the individual quotes just like Tom said.

Anyhow, I am out of here for a while, but I can lend help where I can later, with what little I actually know.
