Quite simple - If the temperature is above 0C you measure rain, if below 0C you measure snow. Doesn't matter which measure stick units you use.

Why are you only thanking Canada?
Every industrial country in THE WORLD is metric with the US being the exception.

That was funny, but never say never. Those Dutch sure do love their bikes. I remember how incessantly they ring their bike bells if you walk in the bike lane.

.......this.

I constantly marvel at the stubbornness of the US to converting to a much simpler method of measure. You may think it is tough for you, but up here due to our large amount of trade with the US, we must be fluent in both. Kinda bi-measurable.

Celsius is just so darn easy compared to Fahrenheit.

Gee, I don't know why we have to go through this every time the topic comes up Jim....lol Fahrenheit is ridiculously easy for us.

But, I'll gladly switch over if you can raise the temp here about 50 degrees fahrenheit.....

We woke up this morning to 2" of fresh snow on the ground
I don't think it is fair to blame Canada for the metric system.
At least they don't count goals in a hockey game using the metric system.

My vote would be for rain rather than snow. About one or two weeks worth and then some nice camping weather.
