The Definition of Stupidity

A friend shared this on Facebook. I still can't believe it.

And they are on the road driving---scary....
Now I have gone in a different car and ended up on the wrong side--but I did know how to pull the hose over or switch sides!!!(once)

and then there's the story of the driver, standing outside the car, helplessly holding the remote-entry key because the battery in the key had died and they "couldn't unlock the car".

This one's worse! They were "trapped" inside the car because they were too dumb to manually unlock it. Lady almost died!

In 1801, Friedrich von Schiller wrote the following in
The Maid of Orleans. Act iii, Sc. 6:
"Against stupidity, the very gods themselves contend in vain."

Some things don't change.

"Stupid is as stupid does" (Forrest Gump)

On second thought I think it more a symptom of our modern society, where many people have become accustomed to not having to think for themselves. Don't worry Big Brother will take care of you from cradle to grave...

A friend of mine has a bumper sticker on his car that states "Think Daily!"

I'm convinced I've done things just as stupid as the people depicted. I must admit I'm a bit more cautious, with so many cell phone video cameras, to catch my errors. Like the time I .... No, wait! Telling you would really be stupid!
