The Rhubarb sign...

It's been pretty cold so it was great to see some signs of spring- including this one! No trips planned until the end of April but that may change if this nice weather sticks around.

Yours must sit in a warmer place as I can't believe it has been that much warmer than down here. Mine's bigger than the above picture now but still not like yours.

, I knew you were sandbagging it last week when you said it wasn't worth taking a photo of it.

I'm firmly convinced that Baglo has a trained garden gnome that covers his rhubarb at night to keep it warm, feeds it fertilizer cocktails and talks to it like a horse whisperer.

Every year it's the same. Oh well, mine might not be as big and plentiful but I'll still get some nice strawberry rhubarb pies out of it.

Happy to see that my first daffodil is out. The recent downpours had it beaten to the ground.

Well, I love rhubarb, stewed with ice cream and biscuits, or in a yummy pie. However, ours is still under 18" of dense packed snow. Methinks it will be the end of the month before we see it budding. The weather is finally warming up, forecast to hit double digits by the weekend, though more snow in the works for next week, and freezing every night in the 14 day forecast.

Hi: gbaglo... Try adding a drained can of pineapple tidbits to the still warm sweetened stewed rhubarb. They will turn pink but adds in some crunch. Great topping for vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream!!! Alf
