Tumbleweed is christened

We finally decided on a name we both liked for our Escape -- one that describes our travelling style and preferred travelling location, the land of the old west, cowboys & mountain men, deserts & canyons . . . A designer friend of Wendy's came up with a graphic, and a signmaker did us up the vinyl sign.

May need a redo, we think it's too large, people will certainly see us coming . . . or going. As was mentioned somewhere on the forum, the name is best on both ends. I agree.

Happy trails.

I like the name, did you put it on the back too?

Are you asking for opinions? If so, yes, way too large.

Not keen on novelty type either.
Trouble is, if you reduce it, it will become illegible.

Yeah, the novelty type was a bit too much.

I can't help but think it looks like machine gun graphics.
But if you like it that's the important thing.

I like that Tumbleweed seems to be very well named as it is rolling over and tumbling around. Perfect name.

Tumbleweed

I for one, don't mind the size, "font", color or anything else about your graphic. If I ever meet you coming or if you pass me going away I'll simply say "there goes old tumbleweed."
And, if you ever get tired of the name you can put an S in front of the T or take the T off and substitute a whole series of new first letters. B D F H J M R W ( just for fun) and finally a Z just to confuse people. Looks good to me. I never judge another persons equipment in the negative. I've been beaten on the trap range too many times by guys with bad looking shotguns. Have fun with it, that's what it's all about.

I like the name, but just my opinion, the graphic is a bit large. I'd probably use lettering instead of a sticker with a white background. Since 'Tumbleweed' is reminiscent of the Old West, perhaps an Old Western font like this? It's available on dafont.com, along with thousands of other fonts. Any sticker shop can reproduce it.

I might have been inclined to have it in a circle ( being a tumbleweed ) have it on the back to confuse the tailgaters ! ( maybe on the tire cover )

I think it's great.
Remember this, too:

If you like it, then I like it. It's your trailer and I like you've personalized it.

Looks like you haven't taken the transfer sheet off yet?

I rotated your picture, unless you really wanted us to see it... tumbled

Didn't Elton John refer to a "fiberglass tumbleweed" in one of his songs? Or maybe it was Elvis Costello?

It's a great name, but since I live on the Hurricane Coast I wouldn't use it, for fear of tempting fate.

In that case it might be "Blowing in the wind"

Probably Elton John, probably from his country (!?) album Tumbleweed Connection, which I used to have a looooonngg time ago but no more.

Yep, it's definitely way too big, have ordered new, smaller, ones. Yes, front & back.

Yep, hard font to read, but this works for us. I did like a simpler font, like the western themed example, but in the end we agreed on the busier graphics because we liked the whimsy.

But the fanciness of the font DID mean no individual vinyl letters but screen-printed on a solid vinyl sheet. Unless we find another sign-maker . . . ?

I like the round tire cover idea -- can I steal it?

I'm havin' fun with this. Happy trails.
