Hi Art,
I haven't been to Baker City yet but understand that it has a wonderful museum of Oregon Trail wagon train info. Its high on my list but so far Baker City has escaped me.

I think your route to Chilliwack is a good one. Steven's Pass (hwy 2) is a good one and I much prefer it over Snoqualmie Pass to the south ( heavy traffic but an easy road). Try to get a bit north of Everett if you can. Heavy traffic begins to thin out north of Everett.

I'd expect the snow to be temporary and well plowed / sanded.

Art- sorry I was giving directions to the wrong place - thinking you were going to the rally in Osoyoos instead of Chilliwack! The Washington State DOT website will have lots of information about pass conditions.

I'm in the Village 2 campground. Look for me if you have time-- I have my antennas deployed so I'm easy to find. Leaving Wednesday for Jasper, and more cold.

Glad we are in Banff a week ago pretty good weather then but now on Van Island had rain every day and cool for May. Guess that's all we can expect here!
