Nothing compared to Germany. If they can cram it in a grinder they will find a way to get it in a sausage casing. I was at a 3-story shop in Berlin that only sold cheese, sausage, rolls, and crackers. 4,000 different products!

That was the year I went to Oktoberfest with 200,000 of my closest friends.

What's in YOUR Freezer?

Between the Brats, the Schnitzel, and those amazing golden crusty potatoes, I gain about 5-10 lbs every time I go to Germany.

Hmmm, different foods, but that's the way I feel every time I travel to Texas . You boys can eat.

Already marked the map for a stop at the Gristmill come January.

When we camp, I find it fun to plan my menus so that we have a variety of 'non camping' meals. (Love that CanCooker ....).. Thus, I usually have all my meats in the freezer so I can defrost them as needed. If I have room, a couple of bags of frozen veggies are also there. And, of course, the ice cube trays.

I wish. Could have used that in Texas. Will have to get one of those ice-making machines some time.

Jan, We do the same thing. We put lots of meat in the freezer and add veggies to the fridge every 3-4 days to keep them fresh!

Cheers

Prohibits you from getting homesick?
Might want to extend your trip: lots of snow and ice here.
Keep your freezer stocked and enjoy milder weather wherever you are!!!

I have heard about the snow and ice. I am in no hurry to get back to that. The storms here Friday were wild, and toast is super to be worse. Incredible seas though. Think I will hunker down with a bowl of marionberry I've cream though.

What's in MY freezer?

A partially used bag of ice for drinks or my little cooler that goes in the car and 2 medical ice packs for my shoulder.

Sad.

But, we're on the Maryland coast so we're eating local seafood every chance we get.
